International Fellowship of Chaplains

I.F.O.C. Chaplaincy Course

This online Chaplaincy class offered by the International Fellowship of Chaplains is designed to provide practical knowledge, skills, and tools relevant to the area of Chaplaincy and serving those in need and in crisis.  To successfully complete this course, students will need to complete all the training modules assigned in the course and attend a live 4-hour webinar after concluding all of the training modules.  The last quiz in the training class acknowledges you have attended this webinar.  Your certificate will be available once all modules are completed and the instructor has confirmed (graded that quiz) your attendance in that session.

This course must be completed in its entirety, including all modules and the 4-hour webinar, which is offered once a week on alternating Fridays and Saturdays, within 31 days of registration.  Failure to complete it within this time will result in the student not receiving a course completion certificate.  I.F.O.C. will not refund the registration fee if students do not complete the program on time.  Should the student have extenuating circumstances arise during the course which prevent them from finishing within this timeframe, they can contact IFOC Headquarters at (254) 314-2159.  IFOC may, at its discretion, allow the student to continue the class beyond the 31-day deadline, with a $25 extension fee for an additional 14 days of access.

There is an application process for students who wish to become credentialed I.F.O.C. Chaplains.  Successful completion of this training does not make one a licensed I.F.O.C. Chaplain nor guarantee that one will be granted a license.  The application process includes a background check, agreement to I.F.O.C.'s non-denominational, conservative Christian statement of faith and ethics, an interview, and other items.  When a student registers, they are only purchasing access to the training material.

SAP Litmos, the learning management system, has an app for mobile devices.  While students have successfully used that app, I.F.O.C. does not provide technical support for students using that app.  Technical support is available only when the course is taken on a computer.
